About Astaana-E-Zehra

Ahle Baith Foundation officially inaugurated the opening of Astaana-e-Zehra, its religious center, on the day of Ghadeer in June 1990. It is centrally situated in the heart of Historic Englishtown, in "Garden State" New Jersey.

Over the years, Astaana has become the center for soul searching, peaceful tranquility, religious learning, sense of belonging, community togetherness,

forging new family relationships,meeting old friends, but above all its a place for paying our humble respects to Janabe Sayyeda (S.A.) and thanking her for accepting our prayers and blessing us with this beautiful Astaana.

Because of its central location, Astaana has been serving the religious needs of over 20 families residing within a 5 mile radius, some 225 families residing within a 25 miles radius and another 100 families residing within a 50 to 75 miles radius. It is surrounded by Marlboro Township to its North, Manalapan Township to its East, Freehold Township to its South and Monroe township to its West. Its only minutes away from Old Bridge, Parlin, Sayerville, Woodbridge and Edison to its North East and Windsors, Hamilton, Princeton and Franklin Township to its South West. It has easy access to and from NJ Turnpike, Garden State Parkway and Intrastate Route 9.
